Nightstand

Before photos:

After photos:

This project was fairly simple. I lightly sanded the dresser. I had some bright pink oops paint so I put a layer of that on to get the painting started. I then covered it with the dark brown colored oops paint.  I mixed this color with a white colored oops paint and it made a pinkish color. I used painters tape for the edges. I had to apply a couple coats for each. We got the nightstand for $2 and I used about $1 in paint so this was a pretty good cheap project.

Repaint Heart Bench

It was all white to start but I forgot to take a before picture. I used the green color for the sides.

Then I couldn't decide on a color so I mixed gray/brown/white/green/blue colors for the seat and backboard.

I didn't have any painters tape when I painted the seat and backboard so some got on the sides, so I had to add another layer of green on the sides.

Then I painted the bottom of the sides and the bottom of the seat, just in case someone decides to flip it over 😉

Then I added this sealer every 20 minutes for 4 coats.

Redone 'Antique' Radio

Brown Layer:

Gold Layer:

White (Chalkpaint) Layer: I had to do 3-4 coats of white for the gold to not show through.

After more distressing with sandpaper, adding a sealer  (every 20 minutes for a total of 4 coats), and painting the knobs:

For the chalk paint I just used Plaster of Paris, mix in a little warm water and add the paint. I used the recommended 1/4 Plaster of Paris 3/4 paint combo at first and then I just guessed it out for the rest and both turned out. For all of the paint I just used 4oz acrylic paint.

Here's a video of it playing:
