Sand the bowling ball just so the caulk sticks to the ball and wipe it down. I used black caulk I found at Lowe's. I did it in little sections so the caulk didn't dry before I got the glass in. Just sqeeze some caulk and push the broken glass pieces (we just hammered it in a box to break it) into the caulk so the caulk just passes the thickness of the glass. Get half the ball done and wait a few days to a week to dry, flip it over and do the other side.
